ForumPlead house rules

ForumPlead is a place to make your case, not to win a fight. Think of it as calling in to a good radio show: you are speaking to people who disagree with you.

  1. Use your real name. We show your first name, last initial and state.
  2. Argue the idea, not the person. No insults, mockery, name-calling or assumptions about motives.
  3. No profanity, slurs, threats or harassment.
  4. Back factual claims with a source from a credible outlet or researcher.
  5. Stay on the question. 150 words maximum, one plea per question per day.
  6. No advertising, spam, or posting on behalf of a campaign or organization without saying so.
  7. Editors read every plea before it appears and decide what is published. We publish strong pleas from every side.
  8. Breaking the rules leads to a warning, then a suspension, then a permanent ban.

The ForumPlead opens after launch.
